think many of us still like to read the "old school" way...that's right, NOT off a danged computer screen, but a good old hardbound book with pages and chapters you can actually hold and feel in your hands. Nothing beats it in my opinion. Our Toole County Friends of the Library have scheduled a book sale this Thursday and Friday here in Shelby. The hours are from 5 to 8 both evenings, and if you're like me and enjoy looking at and buying used books, I don't have to tell you the treasures that often await. I mean I'm a guy who has an extensive library from Goodwill. I can't remember the last time I paid over 50 cents for a book! The Toole County Friends of the Library Book Sale's taking place at the usual location, the White building (name after the late librarian Martha White Dekoning) next to Hong Kong Chans here in Shelby. It goes without saying that the early bird often gets the worm and the sooner you get there, the better and bigger the selection will be. Hope to see you this Thursday or Friday, or even both, at the used book sale this week. I'd like to hear from some of you what "treasures" you have come across at used book sales. I'm the Puffman, contact me on my Puffman Blog.
