UM Greets Students with ‘Griz Welcome’ Aug. 19-Sept. 2

MISSOULA – The University of Montana and the Missoula community will welcome students arriving for fall semester with a full slate of “Griz Welcome” events from Sunday, Aug. 19, to Sunday, Sept. 2.

“We are happy to join with our friends in the Missoula community to welcome both our new and returning Grizzlies to campus,” said Cathy Cole, vice president for Enrollment Management and Strategic Communication. “The Griz Welcome is a long-standing tradition at UM and a wonderful way for our students, faculty, staff and community members to gear up for another exciting year.”

A few highlights include a welcome meal on the Oval Wednesday, Aug. 22; Academic Convocation Wednesday, Aug. 29; games and movies on the Oval; and a WelcomeFeast lunch Friday, Aug. 31. Additionally, students can attend open houses at UM’s schools and colleges to familiarize themselves with campus and all of its offerings. A schedule follows.

Sunday, Aug. 19

Tuesday, Aug. 21
