POLSON, Mont. (AP) — Two Missoula women were killed and another Missoula resident was injured in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 93 North near St. Ignatius.

The Montana Highway Patrol says slushy roads may have contributed to side-impact crash between a passenger car and a full-sized pickup shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday.

All three passengers in the car were taken to Missoula hospitals, where two were declared dead. Their names and ages have not been released. The driver of the car was injured.

The patrol says the three people in the pickup escaped injury.
