In MY opinion, it would be an understatement to say that the good folks at WalletHub seem to have time on their hands! With the long 4th of July weekend rolling in, the personal-finance website WalletHub has come up with their "Fourth of July 2016 By The Numbers Report." Some of the "Highlights(?) include that 6.77 BILLION dollars will be spent on 4th of July food. That sounds like a TON of hot dogs to me. Speaking of hot dogs...some 150 MILLION are consumed EACH July 4th holiday. Holy Pork!! That's not to mention that 700 MILLION pounds of chicken will be purchased before theweek is over. You can't say that we're not a patriotic bunch...4.4 MILLION will go toward "imported  American flags, most of which come from China. China doesn't stop  with  flags either...324 MILLION dollars will be tossed out for annual fireworks imports, most of which come FROM China! I'm not sure what good this research from the WallettHubbers will do me but I'll try to digest it all throughout the weekend & try not to have a fireworks mishap. The "Hubbers" submit that 67% of ALL annual fireworks injuries take place within a month of July 4th. I won't worry much about that, I can't afford fireworks this year. I'm going to stay home, pop my knuckles, & sprinkle some dynamite on my breakfast cereal so that my hair will grow out in BANGS. Happy 4th & thanks a lot WallettHub. I can't wait to see what you folks come up with next...
