So many books have focused on the legends and gossip surrounding the late Jacqueline Kennedy and now Barbara A. Perry, a former judicial fellow at the U.S. Supreme Court, has written a beautiful presentation, "Jacqueline Kennedy: First Lady of the New Frontier", which is the first book to focus on Kennedy's White House years. Perry's tome portrays a First Lady far more complex and enigmatic than previously perceived. Professor Perry will be my special guest this afternoon (Tuesday) at 4:35 to share her research and book on Jackie Kennedy. As I mentioned, the book is a beautiful presentation and I'll be giving away this hard cover copy right after today's interview. I think Camelot still fascinates many of us although through the years, that image has become somewhat shattered. Looking forward to finding out more about the Kennedy family this afternoon on the Puffman Show. And speaking of reading, I'm looking forward to reading Montana History this evening at 6 at the Marias Heritage Center. We're currently reading the story of the fateful Mann Gulch fire near Helena back in 1949.
