Study Reveals Your Cell Phone May Be the First Thing Others Notice About You

Cell Phone

They say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. Maybe you shouldn’t judge a person by his phone, either.

A new survey of more than 120,000 people in 15 countries has found that 56% of people believe their phone is the first thing people notice about them. Among men, that number creeps up slightly to 61%, while only 38% of women say this.

If you break down the answers further, you’ll find a whopping 82% of people who are 18 or younger feel their phone is the first thing people notice.

This study may mean men feel the need to run right out and get the latest iPhone because 87% of all Americans own a cell phone. And there is some truth to what we think our phones say about us because 48% of all the poll’s respondents admit they’re ashamed to let other people see their phone.
