It's going to be a "Lucky" Friday the 13th this Friday down at Big Sky Resort. They're hosting the 10th annual Headwaters Spring Runoff competition with adults competing on Friday, the 13th, & juniors competing this Sunday, the 15th. Both age groups are open to skiers, snowboarders & telemark skiers. The Headwaters is known for being the steepest-in-bound terrain & sets the stage for this free-ride competition. The junior event is IFSA sanctioned & juniors can earn points toward their IFSA standings. Big Sky Resort Ski Patrol Assistant Director Dave Benes boasts, "The Headwaters terrain is such a unique free-skiing venue. The steeps alone catch your eye with angles upwards of 55 degrees. The variety of tight, technical lines & wide open amphitheater allow for multiple line combinations & tons of creativity." Prizes will be award to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place finishers in each division category. Head for the Headwaters this weekend at Big Sky.
