SHE’S A GRAND OLD FLAG

Tomorrow (Tuesday) is Flag Day and our local Boy Scout Troop 1555 is holding an official American Flag retirement ceremony at 6:30 TOMORROW EVENING at the Lake Sheldon Campground. Your old flags may be dropped off at the county attorney's office, 153 Main Street in Shelby or you can call Ben or Tanner Raph for pick up. Their number is 434 2536. Flag Day's not forgotten up north either. Tomorrow (Tuesday) evening at 7, American Legion Border Post #73 will be presenting their Flag Day program at the VFW Post in Sunburst. If you have any old flags, you're encouraged to bring them with you tomorrow evening or you can give them to a local legion member. She really IS a Grand Old Flag. Happy Flag Day tomorrow America!
