There’s a lot of talk right now about the Web blackout for PIPA and SOPA. And, of course, some folks are mighty confused. That’s where we come in.

“PIPA,” aka the Protect IP Act, is a controversial bill that seeks to protect intellectual property and stop online pirating. Pippa,” on the other hand, is the sister of Catherine “Kate” Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, and is known for her fashion sense, tabloid antics and pert “bum”… not for threatening internet freedoms.

Since the storm of SOPA (Stop Online Pirating Act) and PIPA bill protesters hit the web after the slew of blackouts, Twitter and Facebook have been in a whirling mess of chaos. Users are in far too much of a frenzy to worry about silly things like proper spelling. (Plus, with Wikipedia down, where can you possibly fact check??) Who has time when your 140-character thought that’s already been retweeted hundreds of times needs to go up right now?!

Well, here’s a news flash for yah: all the misspellings might slap you with a defamation suit from Pippa herself. Check out a few PIPA Twitter “fails” below. Perhaps instead of all the protesting, people should be focusing on SOMA (Stop Online Misspellings Act).
