                                                                            Montana State University Extension is hosting the annual Golden Triangle Cropping Seminar series in Chester, Choteau, Conrad, Cut Bank, Denton, Fort Benton, Great Falls and Shelby from January 13-16.

            Speaking at all seminar locations are Dave Wichman, MSU Central Agricultural Research Center, who will present information on crop and forage grain variety selection and the local variety trial results; Olga Walsh from the MSU Western Triangle Agricultural Research Center, will discuss soil micronutrients and remote sensing technology; and Kevin Wanner, MSU Extension Entomologist, who will give an update on crop insects of importance for the past year and best management practices.
            Mary Burrows, MSU Extension Plant Pathologist and Zach Miller, research assistant professor, will provide information on the economics of fungicide use on crops and will give a general update on crop disease pressure. 
            Three private and two commercial pesticide applicator credits will be available for attendees.  Attendees are reminded to bring the pesticide licenses for registration.
            No pre-registration is required, there is no charge and all producers are encouraged to attend.  Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and all seminars begin at 9:00 a.m.  Lunch is on your own and the seminar ends around 3 p.m.
