Montana History DOES come alive every Tuesday night up at the Marias Heritage Center here in Shelby. I'll be there at 6 o'clock SHARP this evening to read & share more Montana history. We have just began a fascinating book on Charles E. Conrad, a founder of Kalispell who arrived in the Flathead Valley back in 1891. It's all here...going back to Mr. Conrad's early days in Fort Benton. Conrad had vision & felt that not only had he found a good investment opportunity in the Flathead Valley, but also a permanent home for his descendants. Along with establishing the Kalispell Township Company, he eventually founded the Conrad National Bank. We'll be doing some "Armchair traveling" for sure tonight up at the Heritage Center. I'm looking forward to more Montana History at the Heritage this evening. See you at 6 in the Sun Room at the Marias Heritage Center.
