He's "the Lizardman" and he's my guest at 4:35 this afternoon (Friday) on the Puffman Show. This guy is a pioneering figure in the world of body modification. And I thought my two radio microphone tattoos were odd! The Lizardman has endured an estimated 650 to 700 hours of tattooing. He's had five Teflon horns subdermally implanted above each of his eyes to form horned ridges, four of his teeth have been filed into sharp fangs, his tongue has been bifurcated (split) and get this afternoonsiders: The Lizardman estimates the work done to transform him would, at full price, cost close to $250,000 and he's still not done! The Lizardman's real name is Erik Sprague and he and his band, LIZARD SKYNARD, released their self-title debut album last year. I heard him last night on Tom Mischke's broadcast out of WCCO in Minneapolis and the whole thing was making a lot of sense to me so I invited him on the Puffman Show this afternoon. The Ripley's Believe It or Not art department recently created a statue of the man and plans to place figures in all of their museum locations worldwide. I suggest you check out his website to see what this dude looks like, www.the lizardman.com and then tune in to the Puffman Show this afternoon and see if any of it makes sense to you. It does to me and I'm the Puffman.
