Local Wrestlers fare well at Big Tournament
It was a fairly quiet weekend on the local sports scene and that gave at least two young wrestlers the chance to compete on the road and they did quite well. Wyatt and Cameron Brusven of Shelby competed at the Montana Open Folkstyle Tournament in Billings over the weekend. This is no small event with 1,285 wrestlers. Wyatt Brusven wound up 4th overall in the 10 and under division at 81 pounds, with 19 participants in the weight class. Cameron Brusven was undefeated the first day, but then lost 2 matches on Sunday morning and finished just one match away from placing with 38 competitors in his weight class.
Way to go guys, that's alot of competition. Speaking of youth sports, the Jr. High track athletes started practicing this week, and baseball and softball is not far off.
