Jason Aldean was quick to come to buddy Luke Bryan's defense when Zac Brown memorably bashed his new single 'That's My Kind of Night.' Aldean's words were so pointed that some may have wondered if he already held a grudge against the 'Chicken Fried' singer. However, Aldean says he has no beef with Brown -- but does have a problem with his actions.

"Look, as an artist you're not going to like everything every other artist does," Aldean tells the Province. "There's certain artists I really like what they do and certain artists I'm not that big of a fan. But I'm not publicly going to go out and trash 'em."

He continues, "I know Zac, I don't have anything against the guy, he's always been cool to me, but I didn't like that. And of course Luke's one of my best friends and it rubbed me wrong."

The two country buddies, who sport similar tattoos, have always had each other's backs -- Bryan even came to Aldean's defense last fall.

Aldean knows just as well as any successful country artist that it takes a lot of work and perseverance to get your work out to the masses. And to receive a shot like Bryan received from Brown hurts -- a lot.

"You don't have to go out and say those things," he concludes. "I don't agree with any artist bashing another artist."
