It's Worth the Fight" began as an educational event for veterans and their families hosted by the Washington DC VA Medical Center last month. This past Veterans Day, men across the U.S. began learning why harnessing their inner resolve can help them in fighting a threat that results in about 33,000 deaths each year. This November 11th marked the national launch of an education campaign designed to show veterans-and all men- that "It's Worth the Fight" against advance prostate cancer. Dr. Nancy Dawson, M.D., Director of Clinical Research, Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, attending oncologist, Prostrate Cancer and Treatment Center, and an internationally-recognized genito-urinary cancer expert, will be my special guest at 4:35 this afternoon (Monday) on the Puffman Show. Dr. Dawon is an graduate of the Georgetown University School of Medicine where she works to develop novel approaches to the treatment of prostate, bladder and kidney cancer. You know me, I'm the Puffman and I'm more than anxious to talk with the doc this afternoon as I've always looking for the next newest thing and some light at the end of the tunnel. ""It's Worth the Fight" and it might save your life. See you this afternoon on the Puffman Show.
