When doing research for Flag Day a few years ago, I was surprised to find how many times we see Old Glory represented illegally.  In my sports travels, I've seen flags flown at homes or in the country on poles I know aren't lit at night. We've all seen flags on napkins, seat covers, rugs, even clothing, that by the flag code, should not be allowed. (Can't be soiled or on the ground!) Even the Postal Service broke the law with flag stamps a few years ago (because they would be covered by a postmark).

Let's show respect to the Stars and Stripes by checking the flag code at this website, and click on the item on how to properly display the flag. Interesting stuff there, too!
