Prevention is what it is all about. There's a health fair and blood draw coming up this week in Chester. It's all thanks to the Liberty Medical Center. The health fair is scheduled for this Wednesday from 7AM to 11AM at the CJI old gym. The blood draw will be conducted both Wednesday AND Thursday from 6:30AM to 10:30AM and you can register in the CJI multi-purpose room. There will be a ton of interesting booths from A to Z...actually from A to R!.. "ASEA" to "Rocky Mountain Sleep Disorder Center". The health panel includes a CBC, a cardio C-RP, a fecal occult blood test, a hemoglobin A1C, and a vitamin D 25 check. No doubt about it, "an ounce of prevention IS worth a pound of care" and I have often blogged about becoming a "pro-active" patient. I like to think of myself (I'm the Puffman) as a pro-active patient...some medical providers think of me as a "pain in the rear". At any rate, I think it is worthwhile for all of us to get a 50,000 "tune-up" from time to time. See you in Chester for the health fair and blood draw this Wednesday and Thursday.
