The infamous Chili Cook Off kicks off this afternoon (Friday) at the 35th Annual Lewis & Clark Festival "Best in the West" over in Cut Bank. What a weekend THIS weekend under the Big Sky at the 35th(!) Festival! The Pet & Doll Parade was a ton of FUN this morning & that was only the beginning. All the vendors will be out in the park this afternoon with the Burger Barn, the Beer Booth, & the Enchanted Castle going full tilt! Chili cooking gets underway for the Chili Cook Off at 1 this afternoon with the judging commencing at 4:30. We'll have a chance to sample the chili at 5:30 tonight. Lewis & Clark buttons are needed for the chili tasting...$10 fee. Erik "Fingers" Ray will be performing LIVE in the City Park from 2 until 6 today. You're invited to sign up with Josh Larson for the Horseshoe tournament at 5:30. City Park will be jumping tonight with "Bar, Bed & Blues" performing live. "Kickstar" with the best drummer in the Golden Triangle, Awesome Adam Gottfried,will be gigging LIVE at the street dance on North Central Avenue. The street dance is being sponsored & powered by The Den & the Pioneer Bar. Don't forget the FREE breakfast tomorrow morning at the Masonic Lodge in Cut Bank from 7 until 10 with the Fun Run, sponsored by Stockman Bank at Central Park (corner of Main & Central) beginning at 8 tomorrow morning. The Main Parade...I like to call it "The Big Parade"...is at 10:30 tomorrow morning with parade line up at 9 on East Main by BJ's. The 2nd Annual Dodge Ball Tournament sponsored by the Cut Bank EMT's takes place at 1 in the Civic Center. The Flag Ceremony is on tap Saturday at City Park at 1 with Cut bank Mayor Doug Embody.So neighbors...put down your labors & we'll see you in Cut Bank this weekend.
