The Sucker Creek Fire continues to burn 3 miles northeast of Lincoln, on the Helena National Forest. The fire is now 2500 acres, and 10% contained. The fire continues to burn away from Lincoln and toward an area burned by the 2003 Snow Talon Fire.

Evacuations: The Alice Creek area evacuations have been lifted as of 1:00 p.m., today. Additionally, the Alice Creek Road (Road 293) is also open. The public is urged to avoid unnecessary travel in the Alice Creek area, as there may still be fire engines and fire crews on the road. Mandatory evacuations continue on west side Landers Fork and east side of Landers Fork at Elk Trail Park

Road Closures: Portions of Sucker Creek Road (Road 1800); North Fork Keep Cool Road (Road 1821); Copper Creek Road (Road 330)are closed.

Trail and Area Closures: Snowbank Trail (Trail 418); Area and forest surrounding Sucker Creek Fire area

 Forecast: Cooler weather last night, as well as precipitation, kept fire activity minimal. Crews and air teams continue to actively suppress the movement and progression of the main body of the fire. Crews will continue to use direct and indirect suppression tactics.
