Applications Available for Teacher Workshop

WEST GLACIER, MT. – Glacier National Park and the Glacier Institute are accepting applications for their third climate change teacher workshop to be held June 22-25 at the park.
Middle and high school teachers from the local area and across the country are encouraged to apply. Teachers selected for the science and field-based workshop will spend time in the park with agency researchers and educators discussing climate change impacts on park resources. The four-day workshop will be based at the Glacier Institute’s Field Camp in West Glacier. Teachers will learn about climate change research and the complexity of the issue, and how to incorporate climate science into classroom curriculum.
Room and board will be provided free of charge during the workshop and participants who complete the workshop may receive a grant to defray their travel/transportation and material costs. Participation is limited to 18 teachers.
