WEST GLACIER, MT. – The National Park Service (NPS) has released a prospectus for the award of a new concession contract to operate Guided Interpretive Horseback Trail Rides and Pack Animal Services within Glacier National Park.

The current concession contract for this service, held by Swan Mountain Outfitters since 2007, will expire on December 31, 2016. The new 10-year concession contract is anticipated to take effect January 1, 2017.

The NPS made notification on the Federal Business Opportunity website and issued a Prospectus beginning March 25, 2016. Parties interested in learning more about this opportunity and how to submit a proposal should visit the National Park Service’s Commercial Services website. This site can be used to access the prospectus, which explains the business opportunity and the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the Concession Contract. Interested parties who retrieve a copy of the Prospectus from the NPS website, should also notify Jennifer Parker at Jennifer_Parker@nps.gov to receive notifications of any future modifications or other correspondence related to this Prospectus.

Hard copies of the prospectus are available for a fee and must be requested from the National Park Service Intermountain Regional Office per the information on the National Park Service Commercial Services website.

Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, CO 80228) no later than 4 p.m. MST on June 3, 2016. Questions related to the business opportunity must be submitted by e-mail to Jennifer_Parker@nps.gov no later than 4 p.m. MST on April 21, 2016 and will be responded to in writing.
