The Montana FFA Foundation is proud to partner with the John Deere Dealers of Montana and Montana State University to host the 4th Annual John Deere Ag Expo. This three-day event takes place November 12-14 at the MSU campus in Bozeman. The event is a special program coordinated by the Montana FFA Foundation to provide experiential learning and leadership conferences in the three-day competitive event setting for FFA and 4-H members throughout Montana and neighboring states.
John Deere Ag Expo brings in over 1500 FFA and 4-H students to compete in various events, with over 300 volunteers donating their time to the occasion. Thursday evening, November 12th the Foundation hosts a dinner and Keynote address in honor of the event. This year’s line up include a welcome from MSU Vice President and Dean of the College of Agriculture- Dean Boyer, John Deere Corporate liaison and newly published author- John Knokey, with special guests including the John Deere Dealers of Montana, Greg Gineforte, and many more. The evening kicks off with a dinner including 1000 students in attendance, and concludes with remarks from our sponsors and keynote speaker.
The three-day event includes several career development events including speaking contests, agriscience, marketing, livestock and mechanics contests to name a few; and the three-day intensive leadership conference hosted by nationally renowned speakers. The FFA Foundation encourages the public and local 4-H members to join us for the event.
The Montana FFA Foundation secures funding to support nearly 100 chapters throughout the state and over 5,000 members through leadership training, scholarships and chapter support through special programs like John Deere Ag Expo. FFA is a nationally recognized inter-curricular program teaching career ready technical skills, leadership training and supervised experiential learning projects through an Agriculture Education curriculum. The Montana FFA Foundation’s mission is to cultivate partnerships, promote awareness and secure resources to enhance Agricultural Education and the Montana FFA Association.
