Author Josh Kelly Visits Shelby to Talk Jack Dempsey

State Class C Girls Golf Results

The State Class C Girls Golf Tournament finished up yesterday afternoon at Marias Valley with the Fort Benton Boys team coming out as State Champions with a total team score of 572, they were followed by Harlowton 576; Ennis 638; Gardiner 648; Belt 650 and Great Falls Central Catholic at 705.  The Girls State Champion was Kelsey Little of Fort Benton with a combined two round score of 170. The State Class C Boys Golf Tournament finished up yesterday afternoon at Marias Valley with the Fort Benton Boys team coming out as State Champions with a total team score of 510; they were followed by Fairview 536; Scobey 539; Chinook 542; Great Falls Central 547; Sunburst 559; Culbertson 570; Ennis 577; Harlowton 587; Centerville 589 and Valier with 599. The Boys State Class C Champion was Zach Johannsen of Sunburst with a combined two round score of 150. Check out the individual scores after the jump:

Deni Fitzpatrick leads Cut Bank Girls to Second Consecutive District 1B Championship

Lead on the track by Senior Deni Fitzpatrick, and in the field by junior Jordyn Vaile, the Cut Bank girls walked away with their second consecutive win in the District 1B Meet with a lead of 55 points over their nearest competition, the Cascade Badgers. Fitzpatrick won the 100 meters in 13.1 seconds, the 200 in 27.5, the 100 hurdles in 16.0 and the 300 hurdles in 47.4. Vaile placed first in the shot put and the discus and fifth in the javelin. Fairfield Boys Win District 1B Track Meet at Memorial Stadium

The Fairfield boys had a big day in the field events. Bo Harris, a junior, won both the shot put and discus; junior Trace Brady had the top javelin throw; and senior Slade Allen and junior Collin Allen finished second in the triple jump and long jump, respectively.

Slade Allen also won both the 110 and 300 hurdles. Sophomore teammate Tucker Meyer was second in both of those races. Check out all the boys results after the jump...
