How Much Does A Manhole Cover Weigh?

400 pounds according to Peter Franklin, the wisecracking New York City cabdriver. The Gabby Cabby is going to be joining me this afternoon (Tuesday) at 4:35 on the Puffman Show. Pete tells me that "manhole lid theft" is on the rise in his town

As far as I know, the man is STILL homeless! I'm blogging about the Gabby Cabby who got "removed from his New York City apartment several weeks back. I haven't heard different but I'll be talking with the Driver of the Yellow Mobile Conveyance Lounge at 4:35 this afternoon (Wednesday) on the Puffman Show. I guess if there is any upside to Pete'

The Hack Is Back

he Wacky Hacky aka the Gabby Cabby aka Peter Franklin, the New York City taxi cab driver will be joining me this afternoon (Wednesday) around 4:30 on the Puffman Show. As usual, the Gab Man is fired up and he's still in a huff over Montana Senator Max Baucus and Montana Attorney General Steve Bullock snubbing him, AND he's the Gab Man!  Good thing for those guys Pete's not a registered Montana voter! Pete will also share a tale about 3 high ranking New York City Police officers making some criminal charges "disappear" and then retiring as soon as possible in order to preserve their pensions

Thoughts of this weekend

With this Sunday marking the 10th anniversary of perhaps the worst tragedy our country has ever experienced, I thought I would put in a call to my friend Peter Franklin, better known as the Gabby Cabby, that wacky New York City cab driver who's been a frequent guest on the Puffman Show for the past 13 years here in Shelby and before that, probably 10 years when I was working on the East Coast. I remember calling Pete 10 years ago a day or two after 911 and being relieved that he and h

NO FUN ALLOWED IN THE BIG APPLE

That's the impression I get from talking with the Gabby Cabby, New York City cab driver and longtime pal of mine, Peter Franklin. The Gabman will be joining me this afternoon (Thursday) at 4:35 right after Puffman Musical Trivia. The driver of the big yellow taxi has a true tale about four people arrested for eating doughnuts in a playground. I also found out that it's against the law for New York City residents to remove, kill, or damage a street or park tree. Two New Yorkers got nabbed for chopping down a ginkgo tree with an axe! They were apparently trying to steal a bike.

Changing Your Radio Dial Is Dangerous

The changing of the dial on your car radio is more dangerous than using a cell phone. That's what the Gabby Cabby says and he'll be my guest at 4:35 this afternoon and perhaps Saturday morning. Pete says as the result of last week's one day cell phone crack down, the New York City Police Department handed out more than 6,200 tickets to drivers
