This first of October weekend is a great weekend in which to work up a hunger in the Golden Triangle. Harvest fests abound with the Brady United Methodist Church holding their fall dinner tomorrow (Saturday) night from 5 to 7 at the Brady Community Hall. I wonder if the infamous Gary Gollohon will be there chowing down!
Who doesn't remember the first time they heard that tune by the Lettermen. Or how about "The Way You Look Tonight" or "Come Back Silly Girl". Like a lot of you, I grew up with these guys. In fact, they did a show at my high school back in the early 60's. (I started 1st grade when I was two, I'm not really this old! The Lettermen are celebrating over 49 years in the music industry and this afternoon (Tuesday), Tony Butala, original and founding member of the group, will be joining me on the Puffman Show. I still enjoy The Lettermen music today and hardly a week or two goes by that I don't spin one of their tunes on my afternoon radio program.

What a wonderful fair it was this year here at our Shelby fairgrounds. It was year number 70 and I thought this year's 4 county Marias Fair was the best ever. And having Charlie Jenkins for the Saturday night grandstand show, coupled with no gate admission made this year's fair even more special
The 9th annual Bluegrass on the Bay kicks off Friday night at Odd Fellows Park in Great Falls. I'm not an odd fellow(!)...but, I'd sure like to be there.

I'll be debuting the title cut and new single, "Faith and Freedom" from his latest CD. Gary is dedicating this very song and arrangement to the US Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard as a July 4th Thank You to our military. The man has an amazing voice and is probably best known for his signature rendition of the classic "Wind Beneath My Wings" in addition to his starring role in Broadway's "Les Miserables".
