The Blackfeet Fish and Wildlife Service is offering hunter safety training, beginning this evening. The course will run  from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each evening through Saturday, in room 136 at  Blackfeet Community College. Parents or guardians must be present this evening to register students.

The bow hunting season on the Blackfeet Reservation begins Sept 8th. Hunting permits will be available beginning Friday. The BTBC has allowed 2 boulder elk lottery drawings for bow hunters only. There will be no moose lottery. The drawing will be helf Thursday, Sept. 6 at 4 p.m. Zone 4 has been open to bow hunting only from Sept 8- October 14 for elk, deer and black bear, no moose.

Hunters are reminded that you must pay for your permits and/or lottery tickets at the Finance Department before picking up your permits at the Fish and Wildlife office, located at Sleeping Wolf Campgound. No permits will be given without a receipt from the finance office.
