Bail set for Toole County Shooting Suspect
According to a press release from the Toole County office of the Sheriff:
On 06/11/15 at about 2214 hours Toole County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a possible gunshot and a male yelling for help on the 200 block of Madison Ave in Shelby,MT.
Upon arrival,Toole County Deputies found a male who was identified as Dalen James Longfield (27 years of age). Longfield was later determined to be a Shelby resident. Longfield had a gunshot wound to his upper chest.
Longfield was transported by the Toole County Ambulance Service to Marias Medical Center in Shelby and was later transferred by Mercy Flight to Benefits Healthcare in Great Falls MT.
Investigation of the incident led to the arrest of a local Shelby resident (Scott Allen Seymour 25 years of age) on a charge of Assault with a Weapon (a Felony). Seymour is currently incarcerated in the Toole County Detention Center. Seymour had an initial appearance in Toole County Justice Court Friday June 12th, where his bail was set at $100,000.00 .
This matter remains under investigation by the Toole County Sheriff's Office
