This might sound like a repeat of last week's Athlete of the Week presentation and it is similar, only the names have changed. Our KSEN/K96 Bozeman Trophy male Athlete of the week is another member of that very strong Fairfield team. Dawson, just a sophomore is already setting high marks, not only in the district and division, but at the state level as well. In the very first meet of the season, the Fairfield-Belt invitational, he scores a whopping 46 points with wins in the 100M, 200M, both hurdles and third place in javelin. Last week, at a very competitive meet in Frenchtown, Allen again won both hurdles and finished third in the 100M. Allen is also a member of the Fairfield 400 and 1600 relay teams where the Eagles scored eight points with a second-place finish in that 1600M relay. Their 1600M relay team is currently ranked eighth in the state among all classes. Individually, Allen currently ranks fifth in the state, all classes in the 300M hurdles and seventh in the 110M hurdles. He's an athlete to keep an eye on.

Our female athlete of the week is also picking up big points on the Choteau girls team, which won another team championship at the first ever Choteau Acantha meet on Saturday with more than 300 athletes on hand. Paige Rasmussen racked up more than 30 points individually, with victories in the long jump and the triple jump. She was second in the 100M hurdles and fifth in the 100M dash in which Choteau took three of the top five positions. Paige was also a member of the winning Choteau 400 Relay team. The Lady Bulldogs are the two-time defending state champions in that event and currently have the eighth-best time in the state among all classes. They have the best time in the state among class B schools

Congratulations to our KSEN/K96 - Bozeman Trophy Athletes of the Week; sophomores Dawson Allen of the Fairfield Eagles and Paige Rasmussen of the Choteau lady Bulldogs..
