No, not Archie Bunker. It's Arch Ellwein who's one of the entertainers who will be performing this weekend over in Cut Bank at the 19th Annual Montana Storytelling Roundup. Ol' Arch, along with the other entertainers this weekend, will also be performing for approximately 3500 people in 19 area schools this week in addition to another 150 to 200 people on Friday evening & as many as 100 who will be in the audience on Saturday. Arch will be joining me this afternoon (Monday) at 2:30 on the Puffman Show. Arch is an actor & producer who has been performing since 1996. He portrays a wide variety of historical characters, including steamboat captain Grant March & Captain John Ordway of the Lewis & Clark Expedition. He's no stranger to our Golden Triangle as he's twice been part of the Storytelling Roundup as Teddy Roosevelt. I had the opportunity to see him as Roosevelt & it was like a visit from the "Old Bull Moose" himself! This year & last year he has been a part of the school assembly performances & the 19th Annual Montana Storytelling's Saturday children's program, with presentations that include "The Dinosaur Hunter" & "Believe It or Not's Science". This year Arch will be doing "Movie Makeup Magic". All these interactive programs get the kids involved as more than spectators. Arch is also the driving force behind the Interactive Children's Theatre, through which he offers 3 day children's theater programs similar to the Missoula Children's Theater, where he comes in, recruits a cast & at the end, THEY present a play! This reminds me of the old Andy Hardy/Judy Garland movies where the kids get together & put on a show in a barn to save the town! Looking forward to catching up with Arch this afternoon at 4:30, & of course really looking forward to the 19th Annual Montana Storytelling Roundup this weekend in Cut Bank. I've been there almost every year & it's always a really neat time AND an educational experience. We are truly blessed to have something like this right in our own backyard here in our Golden Triangle! It's this Friday & Saturday at the Cut Bank High School Auditorium & tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for students for the weekend, or 10 for adults & %5 for students for Friday or Saturday only. Children younger than 6 are FREE! I'll be blogging more about the 19th Annual Montana Storytelling Roundup this week. Tell me a story...
