From Country Standard Time News:
Tuesday, April 12, 2011 – Alison Krauss and Union Station are back with their first album together since 2004. Others include the Del McCoury Band with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, k.d. lang and Jason Isbell.

Krauss and Union Station last were heard from "Lonely Run Both Ways' in 2004. No one has been silent, of course, since Krauss released "Raising Sand" with Robert Plant, and Union Station members have been active in putting out their own individual music and producing. Krauss takes lead vocals as does Dan Tyminski on the 11-song disc produced by Krauss and band.

The Del McCoury Band is one of bluegrass' leading bands, while the Preservation Hall Jazz Band is one of the key purveyors of New Orleans style jazz. The disc combines new and old numbers.

k.d. lang and the Siss Boom Bang are out with "Sing It Loud" (Nonesuch). This is the Canadian's first disc with a band of her since she started her career two decades ago with the Reclines. Joe Pisapia, who most recently was with Guster, produced and leads the band.

Jason Isbell steps further away from his days as a member of The Drive-By Truckers with "Here We Rest" (Lightning Rod). Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit are more country and go after a softer song. This is the third disc from Isbell.
