30 Rock star Alec Baldwin lost his seat on an American Airlines flight for refusing to turn off his cell phone so he could play the popular word game ‘Words with Friends.’ Imagine what would have happened if they had asked him to shut off ‘Angry Birds.’

The awkward incident took place on an American Airlines flight at the Los Angeles International Airport. A flight attendant asked Baldwin to turn off his cell phone and the two got into a scuffle. Baldwin claimed on his Twitter account that the plane was just sitting at the gate and “not moving.”

Eventually, the actor asked to leave the plane and caught another flight headed to New York. The incident bothered Baldwin so much that he vowed never to use American Airlines again and called their flight attendants “Catholic school gym teachers from the 1950s.” Ouch! That’s an insult worthy of Jack Donaghy.

A spokesperson for Baldwin said the actor loves the game so much “that he was willing to leave a plane for it.” We wonder if he knows a five-letter word for “insane?”

Zynga, the company that owns the popular iPhone word game, issued the statement below showing their support for Baldwin and his digital addiction.
